Hanfu=Han Chinese dress
Unlike QiPao, this is the real Chinese dress, before the invasion of Manchus and starting of Qing dynasty alongside with destroying of the REAL Chinese culture.
These days young people are trying to protest in order to make Hanfu as the traditional dress instead of Qipao, since Qipao is nothing more than a Manchus dress that's been "modified" by westerners in an attempt to make it more "sexy".
It has pieces of clothes folding in the front, right side on top, just like Kimonos and Hanboks, since it influence greatly both of these outfits.
So these are the differences:
Kimono (Japan): usually is cylindral shaped, use thick materials and detailed pattern, the idea is to create a type of silent, graceful atmosphere.
Hanbok (Korea): high waistlines, short shirts, the dress is sometimes expanded. Different from Kimono's quiet nature, the Hanbok wants to achieve some kind of outward, warm feature.
Hanfu (China): different dynasties have different theme and style, but usually it uses soft material to achieve a flowing effect. High-status Hanfu are fancy in pattern, but many times patterns are "hidden", as in the same color as the silk, and can only be seen when looked under a light.
